Summer is here and every day should be a celebration. With the sun shining all day long, it’s the perfect excuse to throw a summer brunch.
Whether for a bridal shower, an engagement party, or simply just because it’s Sunday Funday, nothing feels better than a Sunday brunch surrounded by friends, laughter, good eats, and bubbles! And what’s synonymous with Sunday brunch? You guessed it: #MioMosa (Yes, you read that correctly – will explain below). And hey, why not throw in a few Spritzes and Bellinis while you’re at it? They’re all Prosecco-based, simple to put together, and as an added bonus make for the perfect Instagrammable occasion!
Prosecco is the basis of any good MioMosa or Spritz, so starting with a quality Prosecco is important. And just like any great craft cocktail, the quality of the ingredients can make for an exceptional drink. Mionetto is one of the oldest wine producers in the Prosecco region, and their mantra is absolute freshness. It is the only Prosecco producer to bottle on demand – as soon as an order comes in, and not a moment sooner. So for my #MioMosa party, I used Mionetto – the quality benchmark for Italian Prosecco. The Mionetto Prestige Brut Treviso DOC is the ideal Prosecco for all your MioMosa’s and Spritzes.
Now, what exactly is a MioMosa? Well, Mio in Italian means My, so MioMosa’s made with Mionetto are essentially your personal take on the classic drink. It’s a new Prosecco brunch ritual – done your way.
We are here to show you how to jazz up your next party with some fun versions of Mimosas and Spritzes for all your friends. It may be summer, but these easy-sipping cocktails are great year-round, too. See below!
MIOMOSA – MAKE IT YOURS
Since Mimosas only require two ingredients – Prosecco and juice – it’s important to use only the highest quality and freshest products. So be sure to use Mionetto and freshly squeezed juices, guaranteeing optimal freshness and flavor in your MioMosa. MioMosa’s are great with juices and purées and my favorites are orange, pineapple, cranberry, pomegranate, mango and guava.
-Fill your glass with 2-parts Mionetto Prestige Brut Prosecco, and top with 1-part Freshly Squeezed Juice or Purée. Cin Cin!
APEROL SPRITZ – EASY AS 3 – 2 – 1
Italy’s most popular apéritif is as easy as 3 – 2 – 1. Mionetto is a Prosecco house with over 130 years of winemaking heritage, while Aperol launched in 1919 and is celebrating its 100th Anniversary. Both brands are deeply rooted in Italian tradition, so make yourself a Mionetto Aperol Spritz and you’ll be well on your way to living La Dolce Vita.
-Begin by filling a balloon or wine glass with plenty of ice.
-Combine 3-parts Mionetto Prestige Brut Prosecco with 2-parts Aperol and top with 1-part splash of soda. Garnish with an orange slice.
Fun fact, did you know there are 49 billion bubbles in one bottle of Mionetto? There’s nothing more sparkling than that! Salute!
